A mix of gentle modalities is used to treat specific or chronic issues such as plantar fasciitis, headaches, TMJ issues, and low back pain. Therapeutic massage is for those looking to focus on just one or two particular issues, rather than having a full body massage. Stretching may be used, so please bring along comfy clothes. Light to medium pressure can used with periodic deeper work as requested. If you'd like deep tissue work for the duration of the session, please schedule Ashiatsu.
90 minute massages include aromatherapy, a free Hot Stone Spot Treatment, as well as a hot towel foot wrap.


Therapeutic Massage 90 minutes

Two parallel bars attached to the ceiling are used for balance and support while gliding and compression techniques are applied with clean, soft feet. While Ashiatsu provides the same benefits as other types of massages, it also allows your therapist to apply deep, even pressure without the pain normally associated with deep tissue massage. You can choose to have a full body Ashiatsu massage, or just have Ashiatsu on certain areas, and “regular” therapeutic or relaxation massage used on other areas of the body.

Ashiatsu 90 minutes

Whether you are currently undergoing cancer treatment, or have been cancer-free for many years, there are still certain adjustments that may need to be made during a massage to ensure your comfort and safety.

Melissa has advanced training in oncology and post-oncology massage, and has the knowledge to provide a safe massage. A thorough health history will be taken and the massage will be tailored to your specific needs. Your initial appointment includes a free 30 minute consultation. Subsequent appointments will not include the consultation unless requested. (For subsequent appointments feel free to book the Ultimate Relaxation Massage.)

While lying face up, nerve strokes, super soft brushes, gua sha combs, and cooling globes are using on your upper décolletage/pectoral area, neck, and face. A soothing face and scalp massage can help relax TMJ issues, headaches, and stress. 
The service ends with a steamy towel on your face with your choice of essential oil blends.
