Taylored Spa and Massage

Massage

Full 60 minutes! Basic Swedish massage with hot towels. Great for first timers who wants to try massage. This modality promotes relaxation with flowly, rhythmic, and superficial movements. Kneading strokes (petrissage) are apart of a Swedish massage but it's specific slow, relaxation techniques does not directly address tension, knots, and trigger points. Pressure can range from light to firm and clients are encouraged to communicate the type of pressure needed. If you need more than relaxation and would like more therapeutic work in a focus area, please upgrade to a Deep Tissue massage instead!

Swedish Massage

Full 60 minutes! A choice of aromatherapy oils infused into the full service of the session with hot towels. Description of the oils available below!

Lemon: Clarifying, revitalizing, kills bacteria at the pore level, and creates a refreshed feeling.

Lemongrass: Pain relief, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, promotes hair growth, strengthens follicles, and moisturizes the skin.

Frankincense: Antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, pain relief, arthritic pain relief.

Lavender: Calming, relaxing, stimulates hair growth, fights free radicals with antioxidants that may reduce wrinkles and dry skin.

Eucalyptus: Open sinuses, strengthens natural moisture barrier of the skin, promotes healthy hair.

Peppermint: Invigorating, promotes hair growth, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties.

Aromatherapy Massage

Hot Stone uses Basalt river stones that a warmed tk a comfortable and relaxing temperature. The stones provide a warm, relaxing experience to your massage. The warmth penetrates to deeper muscles, helping them to unwind and lengthen. 

Hot Stone Massage

Full 60 minutes! Deep Tissue massage incorporates specific techniques to address tension, knots, and stiffness in the superficial and deeper muscle groups. Deeper pressure is used according the muscles response in order to relax the muscle fibers. Kneading techniques are used to bring oxygen and blood to the muscle to relieve hypoxia and help to relax the muscles. 

Hypoxia is the lack of oxygen in the muscle due to the buildup of lactic acid when the muscles are forced to work without sufficient oxygen, leading to a feeling of fatigue and soreness; poor blood circulation further exacerbates this issue by limiting oxygen delivery to the muscles. When muscles don't have enough oxygen, they switch to anaerobic metabolism, producing lactic acid as a byproduct, which can cause muscle burning and stiffness.

It is important to add yoga, stretching, or exercise to your routine in order to lower tension in the body and see results in your Deep Tissue massages. Results do not happen overnight!

Deep Tissue Massage

Full 75 minutes! Hot towels and ice can be used. Sports massage incorporates Deep Tissue techniques as well as Stretching amd invigorating movements meant to awaken and stimulate muscles and nerves. Assisted and passive stretching for full body or specific area. The more stretching, the less hands on massage. The more hands on massage, the less stretching. Please customize your session to your needs!

Deep Tissue portion will focus on secified areas and may not follow a specific flow like a Swedish flow would. It is a much more targeted session meant to address specific issues. 

Sports Massage

Full 60 minutes refelxology! Hot towels, combs/wands/tools, and aromatherapy included!

Your choice of hands and feet *OR* hands and scalp/face. Time is evenly spaced between hands, feet, or scalp/face.

Time is split evenly or customized according to the clients concerns and needs. THIS IS NOT A FULL BODY MSSAGE 🙃. This modality applies pressure on specific points of the feet that is believed to correspond with different organs and glands in the body. Massaging these points can stimulate energy pathways in the body to promote balance and wellness in the body. Reflexology is mainly performed on the hands, feet, and skull.

Reflexology

15 minute basic Scalp Massage, perfect to end your Swedish or Aromatherapy Massage. Features a hot towel and Massage combs!

Basic Scalp Massage Add-on

You read correctly! Warm Stone Scalp massage uses WARM and smooth basalt stones for added relaxation. Stones are not meant to be hot but warm enough to relax and relieve stress. Also comes with a hot towel and use of massage combs! We include the scalp, neck, and shoulders in this service.

Warm Stone Scalp Massage Stand Alone Service

30 minute Scalp Massage that includes hot towels, Massage combs, and Aromatherapy! Great for headaches, stress, and incorporating scalp health with essential oils and massage!

Aromatherapy Scalp Massage Stand Alone Service

Scalp Massage

Basic 15 minute Face, Neck, and Décolloté massage that can improve fine lines (over time with an at home regime, self massage,diet, etc.), reduce puffiness, and bring blood and oxygen to the skin cells to aid in increased cell turnover and support healthy skin. Any treatment works best with an at home regime and self care in order to see results. Face massage can also increase firmness in the skin, help ingredients penetrate deeper, even increases collagen production due to increase blood circulation.

Clients may bring their own moisturizers or oils from their regimine or use the Esthéskin Collagen massage creme in our spa.
