Aberdeen SRMT is a home-run soft tissue therapy clinic run by Anthony who specializes in professional remedial and sport massage. Soft tissue therapy aims to release pain, tension, and stress from muscles, joints, and other soft tissues within the body. This is performed by way of Sports massage or remedial massage. All treatments are evidence-based and specific to every injury, pain, or stress you might feel.

Anthony has studied Soft tissue therapy at Perth UHI, he has over 1000 hours of hands-on experience with clients ranging from triathletes, climbers, full-time office-based professionals

I've had two remedial massage/cupping sessions so far which has really helped relieve my neck and lower back problems. I work remotely from home and most likely my pain is due to years of poor posture. He really listens and finds where the issues are and gives recommendation for stretches to improve everything.  Can definitely recommend and will be booking another  session again.

Sports massage is a form of massage involving the manipulation, lengthening, and massaging of soft tissue (muscles, ligaments, tendons, connective tissues, and joints).

Sports massage involves a firm and focal pressure delivered from the therapist's elbows, knuckles, palms, and thumbs targeted at specific muscle groups.

During a sports massage, the aim is to relax, increase the range of motion, decrease pain in muscles, and increase blood flow to soft tissue to promote tissue repair and healing. A byproduct of sports massage is increasing the activity of the lymphatic system. This in return helps in moving any swelling, toxins, and byproducts from the muscles and surrounding tissues.

Please note that the appointment is 45 minutes long. This time will be used for you to get dressed before and after the treatment. Wear clothes that are easily taken on and off. The hands on treatment will be a maximum of 40 minutes.

Sports Massage

Remedial massage is a deeply relaxing massage that involves the use of the therapist's forearms and open palms to apply light to medium pressure on large muscle groups including the neck, shoulders, and the whole of the back.

To help you relax and destress, the treatment room is always warm, the bed is heated with an electric blanket and the area of your body that is not getting treated is covered with a cosy towel.

 
The goal of remedial massage is to release overall mental and physical stress, relax large muscle groups, increase blood flow to promote tissue healing, relax the central nervous system, and increase the activity of the lymphatic system; assisting in moving any swelling, toxins, and byproducts from the muscles and surrounding tissues.

Remedial Massage

This appointment will start with a 30 minute remedial massage and then finishes with a 10 minute cupping therapy session.
