0.5ml is a great introductory filler amount for first-time lip filler clients, especially if you’re nervous of what the result will be. Remember you will swell after treatment a little, so you will not see major change with 0.5ml after the treatment has settled over the first 2-4 weeks. If you love your results with 0.5ml – then great! Or if you want them a little fuller you can always come back for further treatment after 4 weeks. 1ml Lip Filler (Juvederm)

A lip flip is a nonsurgical procedure that makes your lips appear fuller. Your healthcare provider injects botulinum toxin into the corners of your mouth (oral commissures) and the edges of your lips (vermillion border).

The botulinum toxin relaxes the muscles around your upper lip, which makes your lip “flip” upward a tiny bit (eversion) and appear larger than normal.

Lip dissolvers consist of Hyaluronidase, a soluble protein enzyme that is typically used to break down the hyaluronic acid found in fillers. Hyaluronidase breaks up the bonds that hold the Hyaluronic acid molecules together in filler. There could be different reasons for a patient to want their fillers dissolved. The most common ones are overfilled areas leading to unnatural results, fillers being injected too superficially, therefore, creating lumps and nodules, unevenly injected fillers, or product migration.

As we age the mouth can take on a downturned appearance. This causes a very negative and sour /sad appearance to the face.  Some patients subconciously regularly overuse the DAO muscle to pull down the mouth corners.

A downturned mouth can be treated with muscle relaxing injections. The injections stop the DAO (depressor anguli oris)  muscle pulling down the corners of the mouth. Treatment will cause the corners of the mouth to be slightly lifted, giving the mouth a more relaxed, happy, youthful and pleasing appearance.

DOA ( downward smile )

Dimpling, orange peel, pebbled or puckered chin are all ways to describe the bumpy effect we can have on our chins. You may not notice this if you catch yourself talking in the mirror or when eating or you may be fully aware of it as it can effect the shape of your chin.
