Antiwrinkle Injections

Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure that removes the top layers of your skin. The procedure uses an exfoliating blade to skim dead skin cells and hair from your face, improving the appearance of fine wrinkles and deep acne scarring, as well as make the skin’s surface look smooth.

The treatment can also help improve deep scarring from acne and uneven pockmarks on your skin. It’s also used to remove “peach fuzz,” the short, soft hairs on your face.

Suitable for most sink conditions and as Dermaplaning is a low-risk procedure it is safe during pregnancy.

A consultation is required with the practitioner to discuss medical history, skin type, and skin coloring. Not recommended during an active acne flare-up, to avoid irritating your skin further or tearing your skin’s surface.

The client must avoid direct sun exposure in the week prior to your appointment, as sun damage, such as a sunburn, could compromise your skin and make the treatment uncomfortable.

Obagi® is a non-invasive, medical-grade skin care, that can only be distributed by a licensed medical professional. It features a topical product range that corrects and prevents the signs of ageing and hyperpigmentation. Obagi’s systems and individual products can also help to treat skin concerns such as acne, and are clinically proven for every skin type and tone.

The number of treatments needed varies depending on the type of peel and the skin concern(s) being treated. 

The Obagi Blue Radiance Peel as a one-off to freshen the skin or control breakouts. However, as it is a superficial peel you would need a course of 3 to 6 treatments to see dramatic results or treat actual skin conditions. For example, as a chemical peel for acne or chemical peel for hyperpigmentation you would likely need this number of treatments.

The a range of skin peels vary in strength and offer effective solutions to a variety of skin concerns. A consultation is required so the practitioner can assess  which treatment is most suitable for the client and discuss a tailored treatment plan specifically to skin type, condition and tone.

Chemical Peel

This treatment works by directing a low Electrolysis current onto the surface of the skin where the Red Veins are present. This effect will cauterise the blood vessel and effectively help to remove it as it is then reabsorbed by the body. 
Generally, 3 to 4 treatments are required to help with improving the thread veins, either on the body or the face leaving a 3 week gap between treatments.

The treatment can take around half an hour, depending on the size of the area to be treated. Your nurse practitioner will simply tap a slender needle along the affected area, causing a slight stinging sensation which is often described as being no more than a little uncomfortable.

Please ensure you have booked a consultation prior to the treatment to discuss the area in question, as not all thread veins are suitable for this technique. It will also be a good opportunity to discuss any questions you may have, the aftercare advise and the cost of treatment.

Jaw and Chin Contouring

The Nasolabial fold is the deep crease running from either side of the nose down towards the corners of the mouth. As we age we can noticed the appearance of these lines more due to aging process. Fat is lost from the cheeks, reducing skin volume and making this fold appear deeper.

On some occasions it would be beneficial to consider cheek augmentation together with the volumisation of the nasolabial fold to help achieve expected results. 

Marionette lines (corner of the mouth) are long vertical wrinkles that traverse from the corners of the lips to the chin. These creases could give a grim or sad look to the face. These lines occur with age, smoking and genetics and can progress to form jowls later on. Dermal filler is used to volumise these areas to lessen the signs of aging.

The tear trough is the area between your lower eyelid and cheek, and as we age, we can experience volume loss in this area, which can cause dark circles and hollows under the eyes. This is not an uncommon problem and can be treated easily with Dermal Filler,  which quickly and effectively restores lost volume, and reduces dark circles. It also reduces fine lines and wrinkles as the Dermal Fillers will boost collagen production by hydrating from the inside. Tear Trough treatment

Non surgical treatment to tone stubborn pockets of fat that will not go through exercise such as the double chin and pockets of fat around the abdomen/tummy area. 

Topical anaesthetic applied first to aid comfort through out the procedure. Small 
injections at various points across your problem area allow the fat-dissolving product to break down the fat cells beneath the skin, causing them to become unstable and eventually flush out via the lymphatic system. This ‘flushing’ process may take around 6-8 weeks. 
Clients may experience some swelling for up to 5 days post treatment. 
There maybe temporarily reddening of the skin and itching, but this is a normal reaction and will gradually reduce over time.
Consultation advised to discuss areas of concern and expectations prior to procedure as not all areas suitable.
