A Big Chop is the act of cutting off your relaxed, chemically processed hair or any damaged parts of your hair, therefore revealing your true natural hair texture. The big chop is the quickest way to become 100% natural. Doing this takes your hair from transitioning to 100% natural and it allows the curly person to start fresh with their natural hair journey. For those that decide on a Big Chop, we recommend a transition period of a couple of months. Typically a Big Chop & Shape leaves your natural hair shaped in a short or pixie cut.

Big Chop

A timely trim is important to avoid split ends or knots. This helps your hair grow without having to deal with breakage. We recommend a trim every 4 to 6 months.

Trim

The Dry Cut is a unique haircut that focuses on sculpting each curl. We expertly start cutting at an angle so your beautiful curl pattern isn’t disrupted. 
Dry cutting is good for precision,  strong lines, and refining shapes. 
We’ll sculpt your hair curl-by-curl, in its natural state and according to your lifestyle, personality, and preferences. 

Please note that a Dry Cut needs special preparations.
Wash your hair and define your curls, as usual, using the products that you usually use. Hair must be open, defined, and dry by the time of your appointment. Prior to your appointment, it’s best to let your hair hang loosely-avoid ponytail holders or clips.

Dry Cut | Curl by Curl Cut

A taper gradually changes your hair length from the top of the head down to the nape of the neck. The taper usually starts long at the top and gets shorter as you go down to the neck. The length of the taper can vary and can be adapted to your preferences.

Cornrows, also known as rows, braids, or canerows in the Caribbean, are a traditional African style of hair grooming where the hair is braided very close to the scalp, using an underhand, upward motion to produce a continuous, raised row. Cornrows & Braids Styles with your own natural hair!

The flat twist out consists of parting the hair into cornrowed sections but flat twisting the hair instead of flat braiding the hair.  Just like with cornrows you can use this technique as the base for various designs.

FlatTwist Styling

The flat-twist-out consists of parting the hair into cornrowed sections but flat twisting the hair and allowing them to set before unraveling them for your desired style. This is usually done on wet hair or stretched dry hair to prevent frizziness. We provide the service to dry the Twist/braid-out at the salon. It can take up to 2 or 4 hours to dry. The secret to a really great Twist/Braid-out is to take them out when it is fully dry. Keep this in mind, so you can book your appointment one day in advance.

FlatTwistOut | BraidOut

Perm or Flexi Rods your hair, dry it, and taking them out is a favorite amid transitioners. We provide the service to dry the Perm or Flexi Rods at the salon. It can take up to 2 or 4 hours to dry. The secret to a really great Perm or Flexi Rods is to take them out when it is fully dry. Keep this in mind, so you can book your appointment one day in advance.

Box Braids 

Similar to Box Braid but instead, this hairstyle is created using a feed-in technique: braiding hair is added to a person's natural hair in small pieces, resulting in a plait that lies flat and isn't as heavy on the scalp.

| Bob Cut |
- A bob cut, also known as a bob, is a short to medium length haircut, in which the hair is typically cut straight around the head at about jaw-level, often with a fringe (or "bangs") at the front. The standard bob is normally cut either between or just below the tips of the ears, and well above the shoulders.

| Bohemian Braids |
-  Bohemian Braids are basically braids with undone curly ends which give off a fuller and voluminous look. Only the first couple of inches are braided while the rest is left undone and curly. This protective hairstyle is ideal for anyone who likes lengthy braids.

Fulani Braids, made popular by the Fulani people of Africa, is a style that usually incorporates the following elements: a cornrow braided down the center of the head; one or a few cornrows braided in the opposite direction toward your face just near the temples; a braid wrapped around the hairline; and oftentimes, accessories, such as beads. Choose this style with knotless or box braids in the back.

Havana Twist

Lemonade braids are named after Beyonce's “Lemonade album” in which she frequently rocked a side cornrow style. They are a sort of a braid “combo-deal”. You got a little bit of cornrow mixed in with some Fulani style.
