I have over 25 years of experience in the beauty industry. I learned how to braid by first braiding my hair. I then started braiding/styling my sister’s hair, then family and friends. I am a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Florida.

I have opened Blu Haven Salon to serve my clients. I take pride in everything I do and it will be an honor to style your hair.

Kids Natural Braids

This service includes the following:
A Clarifying Shampoo
A Moisturizing Shampoo
A Moisturizing Conditioner
A Hand Scalp Massage

This will typically be a 15-20 Minute Experience. 

Things that will increase this time:
The amount of buildup on the hair and scalp
Length and thickness of the hair


The Blu Experience

Natural Hair Two Strand Twists

This is for the classic braiding base foundation. Hair is braided down in cornrows, braid pattern will be dependent on hair that is used. 

Crochet hair is not provided. 

Based on the type of crochet hair the recommended number of packs needed on average is 8 packs. 

Please note that this number will vary greatly based on the size of crochet and the look you're going for.

Is your scalp inflamed? Do you need a deep cleanse of the scalp?

This is an add-on service to any shampoo experience.

Product used to detox scalp will be determined by the condition of the scalp and what is best for the client.

Scalp Detox

This is a deep conditioning treatment service to add moisture and strength to the hair strands.

Deep conditioning treatments are BEST before any braid style. 

It is recommended to do a deep conditioning treatment once a month.

This is an add-on service for the Blu Experience.

Hair braided down for wig or for other protective style. Clients natural hair is braided. No hair extensions is used. 

Natural Hair Braids Down (6 Cornrows)

Natural hair updo styled with a combination of flat twists, two strand twists, and or braids. Please send an inspiration photo for desired style. Price will reflect the style complexity. 

Natural Hair Updo

This is an updo style that uses two types of hair extensions: Cuban Twist Hair and Pre-Stretched Braiding Hair. This allows the bun to match the natural hair texture. 

If client have very dense hair that require a light press/flat iron, an additional fee will be added. This is to allow for a sleek final look.

Natural Hair Services

This style is for straight cornrows with hair extensions added. No designs. If you'd like designs, please book "Straight Backs W/ Designs".

Large 5-7 braids (will vary per client)
Medium have about 8 - 11 braids (will vary per client)
Small has about 12-15 braids (will vary per client)

Length of braids will be mid to lower back.

This style is achieved using X-press ion Twisted Up Springy synthetic hair. It’s smaller in size compared to the Cuban twists.

This is service uses the kids length braiding hair. Ideal for kids ages 4-8 years old.

Kids Small Knotless Braids

This style uses the kiddie length hair (X-Pression Lil Looks 32in) that's appropriate for kids ages 4-10. Parents, if you'd like a slightly longer length please let me know. Hair is provided for this service.
