Lymphatic Drainage is a type of massage that aims to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph from the body’s tissues. We utilise pressure and rhythmic movements to stimulate lymph flow. This technique relies on the intrinsic contractions of smooth muscle cells in lymph vessels and the movement of skeletal muscles to propel lymph through the vessels, lymph nodes and eventually back to the cardiovascular system.
