Digital perm creates very soft, large curls that are more defined when dry. It is not used close to the scalp, so the crown of your hair remains mostly intact.

Digital perming used to work better for short and medium-length hair. But now, when large rolls for digital perms have become available, it is used to create natural-looking waves in long hair too.

A cold perm makes the curl most prominent when the hair is wet and loosens when the hair dries. The hair can also be blow-dried to appear straight. Sometimes a cold perm does not work for people who have very thick or healthy hair.

Japanese hair straightening, human hair is permanently straightened with a special solution. The hair is then rinsed, then separated into sections dried and ironed. the hair is then neutralized with another solution and rinsed and dried again.  Depending on the hair length and thickness, Japanese hair straightening can take up to 5 hours to complete.
