Sports Massage

Book with a physiotherapist OR sport rehabilitation clinician to address your injury. Both are registered health care professionals and degree-level trained. Both can assess and treat your injury and help you return to your work, sport or hobbies.

'Seeing a physio' is a common phrase when in pain, but both clinicians have the skills and knowledge to help your injury and will essentially provide the same approach.

Injury / Pain Consultation & Assessment

15-minute sessions are for single-site application of Shockwave Therapy only. 

30-, 45-, & 60-minute sessions include rehabilitation and manual therapy as required. 

This evidence-based treatment is appropriate for most muscle, tendon, joint, ligament and bone injuries. The results are usually noticeable after the first treatment. A course of 3-5 sessions is typically advised to compliment your rehabilitation programme so that recovery is focussed and optimised.

The body composition analysis uses anthropometric and skinfold measurements in order to establish lean mass and non-lean mass distribution in your body.

Resting metabolic rate test and body composition

M20 Health has partnered with Zinzino, a Scandinavian test-based nutrition company. We test your blood cell health via a profile of omega 3:6  (i.e. the basis of your immunity) in our clinic, and send away the test sample for anonymous analysis to the Zinzino labs in Sweden. After around 10-15 days you will receive your test results in a formal report. We will then arrange a 30-minute follow up appointment discuss what the report means for you and the basis for any nutritional strategies from there.

The cost for the test and a follow-up appointment is £90. You will then have the choice around what to do next with your nutrition. We would be able to offer advice, guidance and potential recommendations e.g. comparison of supplement product ingredients and the physiology of how the body responds to food and nutrition.

1 to 1 Strength and Conditioning Consultation

Injury and Rehabilitation

This service combines VO2max analysis and lactate profiling to provide a comprehensive view of your physiological attributes over an incremental test on a Wattbike or treadmill. Perfect for establishing training and performance limits and theoretical 'zones' and 'thresholds'.

Physiological testing: VO2max and lactate profile

This is a bespoke assessment looking at your specific strengths and weaknesses which tell us about your risk of injury in the sport that you do. We assess movement restrictions, muscle and joint force output, movement control, all interlinked with your background, sport, lifestyle, training experience, previous injury and health history. You receive a personalised plan to manage and/or improve relevant issues, and a clear understanding of 'why your body does what it does'.

Injury risk screening

Our Express Bike Fit takes 90 minutes and focuses on finding a comfortable position for your road or time trial bike. This process uses basic measurements of your bike, video analysis from the side view and includes adjustments to your bike.

Express bike fit 

This service consists of a bespoke set of Biomechanical and physical performance tests to suit your sport and may include tests for: strength, mobility, agility, sprint speed, yo-yo (multistage bleep) test, power, and stability. A pre-appointment phone call is held to establish individual needs. 

Biomechanics

This is a comprehensive process including a physio-based assessment to establish your individual fit window and mobility; manual and video analysis for pre and post-adjustments; fit report; injury prevention advice and exercise programme; follow-up adjustments.

Professional Bike Fit

For runners or cyclists of any performance level. Tests are designed to suit athlete needs e.g. increasing run speed or incline, cycling power etc.

VO2 max test

For running or cycling of any level of performance. This is specifically to assess your physiological training zones with precision. Know what your true aerobic boundaries are (in terms of heart rate and power/speed/pace), and how your body copes with anaerobic work. This highlights what your training should focus on and how to train correctly.

Lactate Profile Test

£100 Coaching plan monthly fee - initial booking is for 1hr consultation (included in monthly fee, minimum 3 months). 

Charlie & Adam coach athletes of all abilities, from building to your first 5k, up to ironman triathlons and beyond. Training plans are individualised with development, performance and injury prevention in mind. 

Between us, we are British Triathlon level 2 coaches, also having undergraduate and doctoral degrees in exercise physiology. Charlie is also an elite endurance athlete having supported the British Paralympic athletes as an Athlete Guide at the Paris Games 2024. This means that your training is informed by scientific knowledge and experience. We discuss your progress on a regular basis; adjust training plans where necessary, and build your training around life's commitments. 

You also receive discounted rates on physiological tests (VO2max, lactate testing), bike fitting and strength and conditioning to support your training.

Run / Triathlon Coaching 

We provide two assessments in this service. 

The first uses a specialised biomechanical treadmill with force plate technology to analyse how you hit the ground during running. It measures many kinetic and kinematic variables during multiple (50+) foot strikes to gain consistent information about your foot-strike pattern. A detailed data report is provided, and video recordings from multiple planes are taken. 

The second is a physical assessment of your running-related mobility, strength and muscle tension. This is a vital component of the analysis to identify the areas of injury risk in light of your gait pattern. 

Risk reduction strategies are provide via the free PhysiApp mobile software.
