So, what does Trigger Point Therapy treat?
For a variety of reasons, when we strain muscles and fascia, either through impact or through a build up of chronic stress, the muscles go into spasm. This spasm can restrict blood flow and cause pain, as well as restricting mobility.

Sometimes muscles can be in tension for so long that they lack the energy to release, and form tight “knots” or “trigger points”, a “contracture” or little hard bump in the muscle which can be responsible for debilitating back pain or neck & shoulder pain referring to other parts of the body. Fibromyalgia is a different condition, but it seems many patients with fibromyalgia have significant trigger point discomfort also.

Inflammation is a necessary part of the healing process, bringing nourishment into the area, and reducing flow away, which reduces the spread of infection. If allowed to continue and become chronic, however, it can lead to restrictive adhesion’s and thickening of connective tissue.

Deep Tissue Massage

Add this to your booking for access to the new Lumi Cold Water Therapy Pod. 

You can either do a standalone dip for 10 minutes, or double up for an hour of hot and cold therapy for maximum recovery. 
The hour will consist of 3 10 minutes rounds of each the hot tub and the ice bath, totalling 60 minutes. 

You may also choose to add ice to the bath should you wish. 

As usual, towels and gowns are available for an additional cost.

Choose from a single cold dip of up to 10 minutes in the bath, or a Hot & Cold Therapy experience.

A mother and daughter spa experience to include a 1hr treatment of your choice…. Your treatment will be together in the warm and cosy Log Cabin depending on therapist availability. You will have your treatments at the same time with your own therapist. 

Alternatively you will both have a two hour experience in the treatment room each lasting  1-hr however in sessions of 30 mins each (this is actually a very popular treatment.) Therefore, two hours in the  log cabin together, finishing your experience with a soak in the hot tub and a complimentary fruit platter… Light refreshments of elderflower, cordial, and herbal infusions.
