Radiofrequency is a skin tightening effect through the application of specially generated radio waves to the surface tissues. It is a non-surgical and non-invasive skin repair procedure where the effect particularly targets the tissues just below the surface of the skin. Dead skin cells make your complexion look dull and contribute to clogged pores and spots. Dermaplaning clears the way so skin peels, facials, skin products and serums can get down into the skin where they need to be rather than sitting on the skin’s surface. It also removes peach fuzz / vellus (fine) hair on the face and creates clear channels into the skin as well as a soft, smooth surface for makeup to glide on flawlessly.

The Skin pen is passed over the area to be treated, and inserts tiny needles into the skin, leaving micro puncture wounds. This triggers the bodies wound healing response and encourages the body to release skin cells in that area. As the body repairs the skin you will also see scarring, dark marks and sun damage decrease.

PRP treatment itself is a relatively quick procedure in which a sample of blood is obtained from the arm - the amount of this sample depends on the size of the area needed to treat. The blood is then carefully spun to separate the red blood cells from the plasma. This golden plasma obtained, contains a rich concentration of platelets and growth factors. The PRP is then gently injected into the area we need to treat using very fine needles.

 

For hair loss, PRP offers a non-surgical treatment option for both men and women with little downtime (approximately half an hour.) Many also consider PRP a natural treatment because it utilises natural growth factors from the patient’s own body and some choose this in-order to avoid the potential side effects that may appear with certain medications.


With PRP therapy, a course of treatment is initially required oncee every 1-2 months for the first 4 sessions, after which the positive effects of PRP can be upheld with maintenance.
