Botulinum toxin type A, is a neurotoxic protein used in cosmetic and medical treatments to temporarily reduce muscle activity. This can minimise wrinkles, giving a refreshed look. One common area of Botox application is the glabella complex, which includes the procerus and corrugator muscles. These muscles are responsible for creating frown lines, or "11" lines, between the eyebrows. Another popular treatment area is the crow's feet, the fine lines that radiate from the corners of the eyes, caused by the orbicularis oculi muscles.
The frontalis muscle, which elevates the eyebrows and creates horizontal forehead lines can also be treated, resulting in a smoother, more youthful appearance. However, Botox should be used cautiously in this area if a patient has hooded eyelids, as this can lead to a pronounce in their appearance, as relaxing the muscle that helps lift the brows may cause the eyelids to feel heavier.

Microneedling is an effective skin rejuvenation treatment for a variety of skin conditions, including signs of ageing (fine lines, wrinkles, skin tone), scars (acne, surgical), and hyperpigmentation.

By creating controlled microscopic wounds on the surface of the skin, microneedling triggers a natural healing response. This response stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which improves the overall texture and appearance of the skin. The microchannels created in the skin also allow for better penetration of active serums.

Treating only the frontalis can lead to imbalanced muscle activity and unintended aesthetic results, so it has to be done in conjunction with the glabella complex to ensure a balanced, natural appearance. This would require a minimum of 2 areas.

"Jelly roll" under-eye Botox is a cosmetic procedure aimed at reducing the appearance of puffiness or bulging under the eyes, often referred to as "jelly rolls." This condition typically becomes more noticeable when a person smiles or squints, due to the contraction of the orbicularis oculi muscle, which surrounds the eyes.

Bunny lines are the fine lines that appear on either side of the nose when you scrunch it, often when smiling or laughing. Botox can be used to treat bunny lines by injecting small amounts of the toxin into the muscles on the sides of the nose. This relaxes the muscles, reducing the appearance of the lines. The effects typically last for about 3 to 4 months, providing a smoother appearance to the nasal area.

A lip flip with Botox involves injecting small amounts of Botox into the muscles around the upper lip. This procedure relaxes the muscles, causing the lip to roll slightly outward and appear fuller. Unlike lip fillers, a lip flip enhances the lip's natural shape without adding volume, providing a subtle improvement to the appearance of the lips. The effects typically last for about 2 to 3 months.

Botox can be an effective treatment for a gummy smile, which occurs when a significant amount of gum tissue is visible above the upper teeth when smiling.

Chin dimpling, also known as "peau d'orange" due to its resemblance to the texture of an orange peel, occurs when the mentalis muscle in the chin contracts excessively. Botox can treat chin dimpling by injecting it into the mentalis muscle, which relaxes the muscle and smooths the skin. The procedure helps create a more even and youthful appearance of the chin. The effects usually last for about 3 to 4 months.

A downward turned smile, often caused by the overactivity of the depressor anguli oris (DAO) muscles, can give the face a sad or frowning appearance. Botox can be used to treat this condition by injecting it into the DAO muscles. This relaxes the muscles, allowing the corners of the mouth to lift slightly, resulting in a more neutral or upturned smile. The effects of this treatment typically last for about 3 to 4 months.

Platysmal bands are vertical bands that appear on the neck due to the contraction of the platysma muscle. These bands can become more prominent with age, giving the neck a less smooth appearance. Botox can be injected into the platysmal bands to relax the muscle and reduce the appearance of these bands, resulting in a smoother and more youthful-looking neck. The effects of the treatment typically last for about 3 to 4 months.

Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterised by excessive sweating, often affecting the underarms. Botox can be used to treat hyperhidrosis by injecting it into the affected area. The Botox works by blocking the nerve signals that stimulate the sweat glands, significantly reducing sweating. The effects of this treatment usually last for about 4 to 6 months, providing relief from excessive sweating and improving quality of life.

Botox injections in the masseter muscles are commonly used for treating conditions such as bruxism (teeth grinding) and TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders, as well as for cosmetic purposes to slim the jawline. The masseter muscles are located on either side of the jaw and are responsible for chewing. Injecting Botox into these muscles relaxes them, reducing their size and strength over time. The Beautif-EYE treatment also includes a full facial, superficial chemical peel, leaving your skin radiant and glowing. 

The chemical peel is optional of course, and not mandatory.

OBAGI Blue Radiance Chemical Peel

The skin is gently cleansed to remove any impurities and make-up residue. This is followed by an Instant Painless Peel to gently exfoliate any blocked pores and remove any leftover residue, leaving skin feeling silky soft.

An AHA+EGF Skin Booster will be applied to boost skin cell regeneration. A soothing, rejuvenating and moisturising facial sheet mask is then used, followed by LED light therapy and application of an SPF to protect the skin.
