Massage

Sports massage is a deep form of soft tissue mobilisation. It can be applied in a sporting & non-sporting context. Sports massage is used for general relaxation of the muscular skeletal system as well as being directed towards any problem areas. It helps to relieve muscular tension, break down adhesions, mobilize soft tissues & reduce pain.
A typical session consists of an assessment which will involve looking at posture & how the muscles/joints move. Advice on self care & possibly also exercises to help strengthen & mobilize.
A session may also include other modalities such as Assisted stretch therapy, Hot Stone Massage, Dry Cupping Therapy, Pilates & Clinical Yoga if required.

Sports Massage

Cupping is a therapy used in traditional Chinese medicine. Dry Cupping is a classic technique, which involves cups being placed onto the skin & a handheld suction pump is used to create a vacuum. This pulls blood into an area allowing new fresh blood to feed the tissues with nutrients & oxygen whilst pulling stagnant blood out of the area. Various Cupping techniques such as gliding, hold & release, static & stretching may be used.

Dry Cupping Therapy

Deep Tissue Massage is a type of massage technique which uses deep pressure. Combining slow strokes & notable finger pressure, the purpose is to release the tension & tightness held deeply in your muscles and your connective tissues.
