This treatment starts with a face massage to relax you, then warmed ayurvedic oil is delicately poured into your ear, as it works its magic the marma points around the ear, jaw and the neck are worked on to release tension and to allow the healing properties of the oil to be absorbed.

This is the signature Ayurvedic treatment for helping to relieve stress and focus the mind, warm ayurvedic oil that is chosen to suit your doshas is slowly poured over your forehead and third eye in a continuous flowing stream which can have a similar effect of having had 8-10 hours of sleep after it - and who doesn’t need that!  

It is a wonderfully ritualistic massage that has incredible benefits for the nervous system, the immune system and the endocrine system.

This is an abhyanga with a twist, cloth bundles filled with ayurvedic herbs are dipped into hot oil and then firmly applied over the body in long repetitive strokes allowing the oil and the herbs time to penetrate into the skin and tissues - a double whammy of goodness for the body!

Marma points are energy junctions that are all over our body, marma massage focuses on detoxifying and then nourishing these subtle locations to heal imbalances across the body. By massaging the marma points stagnant energy is removed allowing the prana (life energy) to freely flow across the body again. This is a very subtle massage but packs an almighty punch in its healing benefits, I can also tailor the marma points I work on to address specific imbalances.

There are a lot of marma points in the lower legs and feet that when massaged and the oil is absorbed can have great benefits across the whole body. Often if there is excess toxins or inflammation in the body or an area is too sensitive to be treated initially we can start with a foot massage until we can directly treat the issue.
