I had the most amazing experience with Candyce at Jamal Amal Hair Salon! In which from the moment I walked in, she made me feel so welcomed and at ease. She truly understands hair and took the time to listen to what I wanted, offering expert advice along the way. The end result was beyond my expectations. In all honesty my hair has never looked or felt better! Whiles on the other hand her attention to detail, skill, and warm coupled with her personality made the entire appointment such a joy. As always, the hair salon was clean snd the staff is very courteous . Sheila greeted me with a big smile and gave me an excellent haircut. She is very professional and ensures that I'm good throughout the entire experience. I can absolutely say I was very satisfied leaving the salon. Sheila is definitely the best.

Genuinely the best haircut I’ve gotten in NYC. I’ve gone to quite a few different salons dedicated to curly hair, including traveling all the way to Jersey to get a proper cut. And in all instances I’ve left underwhelmed, with a cut that was not what I had asked for. This experience was the exact opposite! She took the time to take into account the different curl patterns I have, my daily styling routine, what I wanted and what was achievable. I left the appointment looking and feeling amazing! For anyone out there with 3c hair who has struggled to find a proper cut, definitely visit Chi!

I saw Trish who always does my color. She's great for all hair types, but mine is long, thick, and wavy/curly. She understands how to cut it so I can wear it down and she does a great job with the color too! The salon is a neighborhood gem!

Alon was great! I have a hair loss problem where I pull the hair out on the back of my head and I normally get very uncomfortable at the salon / nervous they’ll ask about and he didn’t ask about it which made my day. Will definitely return.

If I didn’t love Kenjiro and Myriam and Grace and the rest of the staff at Toka Salon, I wouldn’t visit for hair cuts, Japanese hair straightening and hair color on a very regular basis for 25 plus years. Extraordinary service, beautiful dry cuts that take an hour and a half because almost each strand is cut separately and Japanese straightening done by total professionals with years of experience. Hair coloring that is natural and leaves hair shiny and looking and feeling healthy. The salon has a great vibe thanks to the great staff and great clients. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

The Professionalism of Qiu, Debbie provided exceptional service that exceeded my expectations. I opted for the Milbon Japanese hair treatment, Hair Color, and weeks after keratin treatment, and I very happy with the results. Qiu’s expertise shone through as he expertly assessed my hair's needs recommended the best treatments for me. The Milbon treatment left my hair feeling incredibly soft and revitalized, while the Keratin treatment. I highly recommend!

Fabio is, quite simply, a hairstyle artist. I moved away from the area and was gone for five years. When I moved back, I returned to Fabio's Hair and Color Studio! He remembered me, and it felt like a homecoming. Fabio gives you his full attention and is an expert in all he does. He even started his own hair product line and they smell amazing! The staff is very welcoming and friendly, too, and the salon is bright and beautifully decorated. Very glad to be back! :)
