This is probably one of the best salons out there. It’s a hidden gem I discovered. Micheal is great stylist and barber. He is friendly, takes his time and gives advice. I highly recommend Poiz Beauty Salon.

Here’s a refined version of your review: As soon as the elevator doors open onto the sixth floor, TOKA Salon feels like a breath of fresh air. The staff is not only professional but also incredibly warm and welcoming, instantly putting you at ease. I often find myself wishing I’d arrived early enough to enjoy their beautiful balcony—an oasis on warmer days. And with this unexpected November warmth, I really missed a chance to unwind there before my appointment. I absolutely loved my experience today! It was my first time getting a brow lamination, and Katie did an incredible job—she’s truly skilled at what she does. I left the salon feeling so happy with the results! This should be every woman’s go-to salon for brows and lashes! (I’ll definitely be trying the eyelash extensions next time!) On top of her expertise, Katie is also kind and very much accommodating. See you next month, Katie—you’re the best!

Genuinely the best haircut I’ve gotten in NYC. I’ve gone to quite a few different salons dedicated to curly hair, including traveling all the way to Jersey to get a proper cut. And in all instances I’ve left underwhelmed, with a cut that was not what I had asked for. This experience was the exact opposite! She took the time to take into account the different curl patterns I have, my daily styling routine, what I wanted and what was achievable. I left the appointment looking and feeling amazing! For anyone out there with 3c hair who has struggled to find a proper cut, definitely visit Chi!

I have been patronizing this establishment for several months now. Maya does my lash extensions and she is exceptional. Upon entering the salon all the technicians are pleasant. The atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing. Maya is thorough and a skilled professional. I had an emergency last week and was treated well by the owner when explaining the circumstances surrounding the emergency. It's always nice when professionalism, skills, aesthetics and comfort are combined it makes our experiences even more enjoyable!

I visited a laser hair removal studio for the first time, and I’m beyond impressed! I found them on Instagram after a recommendation and contacted the owner. The communication was smooth, and I received a link to an app to fill out forms, pay the deposit, and get all the necessary info before my visit. The location was easy to find, the salon was clean, warm, and welcoming, and the staff were polite and professional. The specialist was highly skilled, and the service exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

I recently visited Jamal Amal Salon to get my hair braided, and I had such a great experience! The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and polite, making me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in. They took their time to ensure my hair was styled perfectly, and the attention to detail was amazing.The atmosphere was warm and inviting, which made the entire process so relaxing. I absolutely loved the scalp and neck massage while being shampooed and I felt they were very thorough! I felt very welcomed and everyone was very kind. My hair stylist was very precise and knew exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond to make sure I left looking great! So incredibly thankful to have a hair salon like this in Chinatown. I’m sure I’ll be back soon. :)

What a wonderful first time experience at Poiz Beauty Salon! My stylist Ainur was so welcoming and gave me exactly what I asked for. I just showed her a picture and she worked her magic ✨. I cannot recommend Self Salon enough! Bianca took the time to listen to the change I wanted in my hair but also guided me through the services that I needed to get me to my dream hair!! I had balayage with some low lights to break up the previous grown out balayage whilst also offering a low maintenance color. The salon itself has the most beautiful lighting and all of the stylist were beyond lovely! I’d highly recommend to anyone in the area 💇🏼‍♀️ 10/10 experience!
