I was lucky enough to have the spa extreme ritual day, this was the best massage and facial I have ever had. The young lady who have me this experience was fantastic. The pool, and other amenities were great, the salt room especially. My Spar package also included a light lunch which I had a beautiful Yorkshire ham salad, and would highly recommend. You can even stay in your bathrobe to go and have lunch in the conservatory. I will definitely be returning.

I had a great massage experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was calming and welcoming. Tori spent time understanding where I was struggling and was able to relieve tension in those places, and applying the perfect balance of pressure helped me feel much better! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top sports massage.

The overall treatment was really lovely. As the treatment rooms are next to reception it was often quite loud with people talking. The lunch was great but walking in the rain in robes to the main hotel (in flip flops) isn’t ideal especially walking past the kitchens seeing behind the scenes abs a chef coughing up a lung Swimming are lovely but looking a little old with rusty walls and the gym has old equipment Lastly no one answers the phone in the spa, tried 7 times over 5 occasions, had to resort to calling the hotel and get put through Some great potential here and loved my treatment

We enjoyed our day and the treatments were excellent. Just a couple of things, the jacuzzi wasn't warm and it is a long way to walk in your dressing gown to reach the hotel for lunch. If a nearer spot for lunch could be arranged then it would be perfect.

Fabulous Spa day. My friend and myself came on the January Spa day. All staff extremely helpful especially the lady on reception (sorry i don't know her name) I left my key in the treatment room for my locker and she sorted it for me. We had a neck, scalp and shoulder massage and it was the best I've had. It's been at least 5 years since I've been to the Spa and i thoroughly enjoyed it. It won't be another 5 years till I come back again. Perfect in every way

This is one of my favourite places to go in York to relax and unwind. Lovely place in fantastic grounds and very attentive staff. Highly recommended.

Fantastic day at the spa. They staff were really friendly. The gym was much better than I expected and pool much larger. It’s so easy how you can order lunch with them to then go into the Parsonage hotel for it, and as always they didn’t disappoint either. We’d definitely go back again!

I had a lovely day, the facilities are great. A good size pool & jacuzzi & 4 other rooms to enjoy. It was very warm, maybe a little too warm in the jacuzzi. The changing rooms need a bit of a revamp & the addition of a swimsuit spinner would be good. I didn't use the gym but it looks great. I had a relax & renew treatment with Abbi which was wonderful, I felt very lucky to get her, she was excellent. Lunch in the hotel was delicious, I had the chicken club which was huge. Parking is easy & the whole experience was ace.

No talking from either therapist, even before the treatment started-which made me feel awkward, not at ease or relaxed. I was a little taken aback at no conversation about my skin type or what I prefer in the way of a facial, but it actually wasn’t a problem as the products and facial were really, really great. The cleanliness of the gym/spa facilities changing rooms were lacking. Grubby is being polite. (Inside lockers, not just dust but dirt on every surface, wish I hadn’t dropped my pound on the floor to see under the bench 🤢)which was disappointing as the rest of the hotel was good.

Massage was brilliant and facilities are nice. Will book again.
