Lovely spacious salon, some really nice touches a wee neck massage just putting cape on. Hair wash station great with massage chairs. Alana was awesome, did a great cut. Looking forward to going back for some specialised curly treatment!

Rochelle is absolutely incredible ! I was a little nervous after a bad experience at another salon, but after my consult with Skye and my first appointment with Rochelle, I know I have found my forever salon.♡ Rochelle did an amazing job with my blonde. She listened to me and gave me advice and recommendations for my hair that is easily doable. She was patient, kind and I cannot thank her enough. ♡

The best hairdresser in Mackay. I have always struggled with my hair because not a lot of people know how to treat curly hair. My hair feels amazing thank you so much. Highly recommended and will definitely be back. All the staff are lovely best experience I have ever had.

Hey there! I had an amazing experience at the salon today. The girls there are super friendly, especially Sky, my stylist. I showed her a pic of the hairstyle I wanted, and she totally nailed it! I feel like I've turned back time by ten years! She also gave me some great tips on how to care for my curly hair and how to style it after chemo. And to top it all off, Emma gave me an incredible massage. Her hands are magic! Big thanks to these ladies for making my day!🌻🙏

Wonderful experience every time I go! They have made such a delightful space of relaxation and happiness. So much to learn with the staff being both so knowledgeable and helpful. I go for my curly hair treatments and in-depth, targeting massages. They sell OCosmedics which I love, and so many different curly hair products for different types of hair! 🙂

Absolutely amazing!!! Very neurodivergent friendly. They explained the whole process to me and asked me if I had any questions every step of the way. I felt very valued and listened to. They even turned down the music so it wasn’t so overwhelming. Not to mention how beautiful they cut my hair. I’ve been wanting to try to get my curls back for a long time and they have an awesome package that explains it all! I’ll be going here again and I’d recommend everyone to go here too <3

Great atmosphere, great to hear everyone chatting and having fun. Really got pampered Head massage was amazing, just needed a blanket after it for a nap lol. Avaia Hair is my happy place. All the ladies here are lovely. My hair feels so soft and looks amazing after each visit. Overall, I’d say there is no salon in Mackay that comes close.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Skye was extremely friendly and highly knowledgeable. I have extremely thick hair and have had issues finding a stylist that can style my hair well. She did an amazing job and gave me loads of advice on maintaining it. The salon is beautiful and nicely maintained. I highly recommend Avaia Hair.
