I've had the same Justin Bieber haircut since high school. After about 11 years of not really caring about my hair, I decided to start trying since I got a nice job and am going to be 30 soon. I hate haircuts. I'm always disappointed by them and I always avoid them. After looking around Kingston I went with Jimmy; it was exactly what I needed. He used so much precision that I felt like his sculptural art project, and he spent so much time and attention to my needs that I felt like a real person at his salon, not just another number. As long as I'm in Kingston, I'm never going anywhere else.

I just received the brow mapping service after months of not giving my brows any love… let me tell you it is WORTH EVERY PENNY!! I’m a blonde with sparse eyebrow hair in some spots and I combined my brow mapping with a henna dye and BOOM-all of a sudden I have brows again! Not only did I receive the results I wanted from the service, but I felt so incredibly relaxed the entire time. I feel so confident with my new brows and I can’t recommend this service, or the Refinery in general, enough!

On a last-minute whim, I called around a couple of hair salons to see if I could get my haircut. Jimmy himself answered the telephone, and said I was welcome to come right in. Unfortunately, there was an event downtown, and I spent more than a half an hour looking for a parking place, so I called their office back to let them know that it wouldn’t likely work outit would be past their closing hour. However, Jimmy was very accommodating, and told me that he would wait until I was able to find a parking place. Boy, am I glad he did! Hands-down, one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had!

Kitana is an awesome hair stylist! She's a great conversationalist and is super kind, ensuring that I had everything I needed while at the salon. My experience with Blunt Hair Studio was excellent. I was greeted by Kitana, who was very friendly and asked me if I wanted anything to drink while I waited for my appointment. My stylist Elyse was amazing. She really listened to what I had to say, asked a lot of questions and was totally on board with what I wanted to do. I usually avoid salons choosing to go once every two or three years because I always feel so uncomfortable. Elyse and the other ladies made me feel welcome and a part of the conversation. I'd love to be a lifelong customer of Elyse and I will absolutely be coming back. :)

10/10!!!! Great vibe and experience in this wee salon tucked into lower Princiess St. Kitana took great care with my locks and took the time to learn my hair woes and wins. She looked at some photos I’d brought and crafted a coif exactly how I wanted given was not able to put into words what it was. She talked me through how to style and get a salon look at home and what I should be looking for in hair products for my hair type. Will be back for sure.

This was my sons first time at a real Salon and he loved it. He was very anxious about getting his hair cut because he is now a "Tween" as he tells me and needs a proper hair cut. You guys killed it he was super happy! Thank you so much!
