As always, the hair salon was clean snd the staff is very courteous . Sheila greeted me with a big smile and gave me an excellent haircut. I love pressed studios!!! CeeCee is a doll. The only stylist I’ve been to who’s been very professional and punctual. She’s never been late and she always finished me and my daughters hair early. This salon definitely lives up to the hype. My stylist surpassed my expectations. And my expectations were high honey. Not only did my hair to not beautiful, but the journey to get there was beautiful as well. All of the staff is friendly. The environment is beautiful and comfortable. My stylist was gentle with my hair. Which I love. And she taught me a lot about my hair type and the products that will work best for my hair. 10 out of 10 I have no complaints.

I absolutely loved the scalp and neck massage while being shampooed and I felt they were very thorough! I felt very welcomed and everyone was very kind. My hair stylist was very precise and knew exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond to make sure I left looking great! So incredibly thankful to have a hair salon like this in Chinatown. What a treat it is to come get my haircut and spend time with the lovely ladies at Crissel New York! Crissel is not only a phenomenal hairdresser but also kind, thoughtful, and funny. I always have such a great time chatting with her and her awesome crew (namely Rosie and Susie). Crissel always makes me look and feel fabulous... and at a great price. Even after moving away from the neighborhood, I still maker the trek back because I know I can rely on Crissel to make me look my best (and give me a few good laughs). Highly recommend this wonderful salon!

The salon has a great decor. Everything is really cute. I got there 15 minutes early for my appointment (the late policy scared me) and wasn't seen until 15 minutes after my appointment started. The hair stylist was apologetic and they communicated with me throughout the process. Once the appointment started, it went very well. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I received an actual consultation and recommendations for products to help my dry scalp and boost my natural curl pattern. Patrice cut my hair and did an amazing job. I'm impressed and excited for the hair journey!

I wish I could post a pix of how long my hair was before the cut. It was barely touching the collar of my blouse. I've never had it longer since going to THS but I noticed I always get charged more than the $40 as stated on the website. Today I asked and was told that my hair was medium length. I don't mind paying for a good haircut and Liljana always gives me a great cut. She listens and offers excellent advice and she is just the sweetest. I do have an issue with the salon claiming my hair is medium length and charging me $70 for a wash and cut.

Decode Salon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had an outstanding experience at Decode Salon, located at 210 Centre Street, New York 10013. The Professionalism of Qiu, Debbie provided exceptional service that exceeded my expectations. I opted for the Milbon Japanese hair treatment, Hair Color, and weeks after keratin treatment, and I very happy with the results. Qiu’s expertise shone through as he expertly assessed my hair's needs recommended the best treatments for me. The Milbon treatment left my hair feeling incredibly soft and revitalized, while the Keratin treatment. I highly recommend!

I am in awe of this salon. Every part of my experience was delightful. I have intentionally avoided salons for the past few years because of some horrible experiences. I felt like the pain, tension, and breakage wasn’t worth the styles I wanted, and I would always leave feeling dissatisfied. The experience I had today felt healing. My 10 year old daughter with curly hair saw Mino today for a hair cut. She loves the cut and looks incredible. He was gentle and patient with her and we definitely plan on continuing to see him in the future. Maria gave me a curly cut which I absolutely love. After a bad experience at another salon, this is exactly what I needed. Maria listens to you and takes her time to deliver the look you want while offering her expertise and great style. I’m grateful I was able to reconnect with her after so many years and can’t see myself going to anyone else. Thank you both very much!

Second time getting my hair washed and braided by Imani. Service is always profession and within the allotted time that is quoted. The health of my hair continues to improve as well, Imani is very gentle when handling my hair when detangling and braiding! I’ve had wig installs, with and without closures as well as wash and goes done by CeCe and have loved the styles and services as well so I was happy to see the braid service added to the menu. So happy with this salon!

I had a 10:15 am appointment for a silk press +trim and was taken it right when I got there. Raven was my stylist and she did an amazing job. I felt very comfortable on her chair, she listened to me, gave tips and answered questions about maintaining my hair style as well as healthy hair. The salon is so cute, 2000s R&B playing, just a great vibe.

Jalisa gave me a beautiful silk press and trim. She was so attentive and detail oriented. She’s a great communicator and I felt so comfortable and well-taken care of! My silk press is so gorgeous and I learned a lot about my hair from her. I would book her again in a heartbeat, this is the best my hair has looked after a salon visit. Thank you, Jalisa!!

I cannot recommend Self Salon enough! Bianca took the time to listen to the change I wanted in my hair but also guided me through the services that I needed to get me to my dream hair!! I had balayage with some low lights to break up the previous grown out balayage whilst also offering a low maintenance color. The salon itself has the most beautiful lighting and all of the stylist were beyond lovely! I’d highly recommend to anyone in the area 💇🏼‍♀️ 10/10 experience!
