I love pressed studios!!! CeeCee is a doll. The only stylist I’ve been to who’s been very professional and punctual. She’s never been late and she always finished me and my daughters hair early. This salon definitely lives up to the hype. My stylist surpassed my expectations. And my expectations were high honey. Not only did my hair to not beautiful, but the journey to get there was beautiful as well. All of the staff is friendly. The environment is beautiful and comfortable. My stylist was gentle with my hair. Which I love. And she taught me a lot about my hair type and the products that will work best for my hair. 10 out of 10 I have no complaints.

Bianca took the time to really learn about my hair and what I wanted and absolutely slayed my cut and style! My hair feels so much fresher, healthier, and chic now. I’m usually so reluctant with getting my hair trimmed, but I’m obsessed with this look. The salon is also super clean and modern with friendly staff and great facilities all around. I’ll definitely be rebooking at Self in the future — so thrilled to have a spot in Bushwick like this!

The salon has a great decor. Everything is really cute. I got there 15 minutes early for my appointment (the late policy scared me) and wasn't seen until 15 minutes after my appointment started. The hair stylist was apologetic and they communicated with me throughout the process. Once the appointment started, it went very well. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I received an actual consultation and recommendations for products to help my dry scalp and boost my natural curl pattern. Patrice cut my hair and did an amazing job. I'm impressed and excited for the hair journey!

I had a great experience from the time I walked into the salon. The place was nice and inviting. I was offered a nice cup of tea, which I appreciated. My service with Lauren was wonderful—she asked me questions about my hair and if I had any concerns. I was worried about how my hair would turn out since I have been experiencing excessive shedding, but it came out great. I will definitely be coming back.

I am in awe of this salon. Every part of my experience was delightful. I have intentionally avoided salons for the past few years because of some horrible experiences. I felt like the pain, tension, and breakage wasn’t worth the styles I wanted, and I would always leave feeling dissatisfied. The experience I had today felt healing. The process was seamless, relaxing, and fun!! The stylists are charismatic and incredibly talented. Not to mention the delicious mimosas!! It was my first sew in and I don’t think I’ll ever look back. Best hair day ever. My confidence is restored

My 10 year old daughter with curly hair saw Mino today for a hair cut. She loves the cut and looks incredible. He was gentle and patient with her and we definitely plan on continuing to see him in the future. Maria gave me a curly cut which I absolutely love. After a bad experience at another salon, this is exactly what I needed. Maria listens to you and takes her time to deliver the look you want while offering her expertise and great style. I’m grateful I was able to reconnect with her after so many years and can’t see myself going to anyone else. Thank you both very much!

Second time getting my hair washed and braided by Imani. Service is always profession and within the allotted time that is quoted. The health of my hair continues to improve as well, Imani is very gentle when handling my hair when detangling and braiding! I’ve had wig installs, with and without closures as well as wash and goes done by CeCe and have loved the styles and services as well so I was happy to see the braid service added to the menu. So happy with this salon!

First painless hair salon experience for my 10 year old. They were kind to both of my girls and efficient with time!

I cannot recommend Self Salon enough! Bianca took the time to listen to the change I wanted in my hair but also guided me through the services that I needed to get me to my dream hair!! I had balayage with some low lights to break up the previous grown out balayage whilst also offering a low maintenance color. The salon itself has the most beautiful lighting and all of the stylist were beyond lovely! I’d highly recommend to anyone in the area 💇🏼‍♀️ 10/10 experience!

I had a 10:15 am appointment for a silk press +trim and was taken it right when I got there. Raven was my stylist and she did an amazing job. I felt very comfortable on her chair, she listened to me, gave tips and answered questions about maintaining my hair style as well as healthy hair. The salon is so cute, 2000s R&B playing, just a great vibe.

Jalisa gave me a beautiful silk press and trim. She was so attentive and detail oriented. She’s a great communicator and I felt so comfortable and well-taken care of! My silk press is so gorgeous and I learned a lot about my hair from her. I would book her again in a heartbeat, this is the best my hair has looked after a salon visit. Thank you, Jalisa!!

CeCe will get you together. So far I’ve gotten wig installs, a full weave and a wash and go at Pressed and have left the salon smiling each time. My hair is getting healthier with each visit too.

Perfect haircut every time! I don’t think i’ll ever go to another salon as long as Eugene is working here.
