The salon has a great decor. Everything is really cute. I got there 15 minutes early for my appointment (the late policy scared me) and wasn't seen until 15 minutes after my appointment started. The hair stylist was apologetic and they communicated with me throughout the process. Once the appointment started, it went very well. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I received an actual consultation and recommendations for products to help my dry scalp and boost my natural curl pattern. Patrice cut my hair and did an amazing job. I'm impressed and excited for the hair journey!

I had a great experience from the time I walked into the salon. The place was nice and inviting. I was offered a nice cup of tea, which I appreciated. My service with Lauren was wonderful—she asked me questions about my hair and if I had any concerns. I was worried about how my hair would turn out since I have been experiencing excessive shedding, but it came out great. I will definitely be coming back.

Before getting started Monique and I had a conversation about my hair and my expectation. My expectations were met and Monique gave my hair the TLC it needed. What a treat it is to come get my haircut and spend time with the lovely ladies at Crissel New York! Crissel is not only a phenomenal hairdresser but also kind, thoughtful, and funny. I always have such a great time chatting with her and her awesome crew (namely Rosie and Susie). Crissel always makes me look and feel fabulous... and at a great price. Even after moving away from the neighborhood, I still maker the trek back because I know I can rely on Crissel to make me look my best (and give me a few good laughs). Highly recommend this wonderful salon!

This was my first time getting my hair cut at R Hair Studio, and I had a great experience! The salon was quiet and peaceful and didn't reek of too much hair spray like some salons do, Rene was kind and professional, giving me advice to cut/style my hair type without pressuring me or trying to up-sell me. Plus the price was very reasonable. I'll definitely be returning back: best experience in a salon I've had in years! :)

I am in awe of this salon. Every part of my experience was delightful. I have intentionally avoided salons for the past few years because of some horrible experiences. I felt like the pain, tension, and breakage wasn’t worth the styles I wanted, and I would always leave feeling dissatisfied. The experience I had today felt healing. The process was seamless, relaxing, and fun!! The stylists are charismatic and incredibly talented. Not to mention the delicious mimosas!! It was my first sew in and I don’t think I’ll ever look back. Best hair day ever. My confidence is restored

Eddy really did a good job, I do my hair simple short kinda mixie or short shag natural tousled or a little unisex/punk, and he listened and got it back into the right shape with just good layering. Shampoo massage great. Owner is always there, these people are very nice. Its not a large cush salon, it's get down to business but it's super clean and just pleasant calm, fair pricing, Goldwell color and the excellent Milbon product line.

My hair came out so beautiful. Such a great salon. I’m a loyalist for life.

Jalisa gave me a beautiful silk press and trim. She was so attentive and detail oriented. She’s a great communicator and I felt so comfortable and well-taken care of! My silk press is so gorgeous and I learned a lot about my hair from her. I would book her again in a heartbeat, this is the best my hair has looked after a salon visit. Thank you, Jalisa!!

This amazing black owned salon is an experience its self. From the cleanliness to the ambiance and the hospitality! You’re greeted and welcomed by amazing staff and high quality service. I’ve had the pleasure of booking with my hairstylist Cara, twice and Tash Blaque and every time I’m pleased and blown away with the experience I received. Cara is such a pleasant spirit and an even better hairstylist. She’s experienced and loves to make sure her client leaves content and satisfied. I booked the sew in experience and received a wash and set, blow out and styling with my ready installed weave.

I’ve been avoiding the hair salon for about 10years bc I was scared to have someone to cut my curly hair. Fear no more! Lol. Crissel did a cut/highlight and she nailed it! She listened to what I wanted and definitely delivered. Icing on top is she is very welcoming and super fun to chat with. Amazing experience all around!
