I had the most amazing experience with Candyce at Jamal Amal Hair Salon! In which from the moment I walked in, she made me feel so welcomed and at ease. She truly understands hair and took the time to listen to what I wanted, offering expert advice along the way. The end result was beyond my expectations. In all honesty my hair has never looked or felt better! Whiles on the other hand her attention to detail, skill, and warm coupled with her personality made the entire appointment such a joy. Ena is an artist! She really took her time with my hair which I appreciate. I had red hair from another salon prior and she helped me highlight and lighten my hair without damaging it. Will be going back!

Genuinely the best haircut I’ve gotten in NYC. I’ve gone to quite a few different salons dedicated to curly hair, including traveling all the way to Jersey to get a proper cut. And in all instances I’ve left underwhelmed, with a cut that was not what I had asked for. This experience was the exact opposite! She took the time to take into account the different curl patterns I have, my daily styling routine, what I wanted and what was achievable. I left the appointment looking and feeling amazing! For anyone out there with 3c hair who has struggled to find a proper cut, definitely visit Chi!

I saw Trish who always does my color. She's great for all hair types, but mine is long, thick, and wavy/curly. She understands how to cut it so I can wear it down and she does a great job with the color too! The salon is a neighborhood gem!

Alon was great! I have a hair loss problem where I pull the hair out on the back of my head and I normally get very uncomfortable at the salon / nervous they’ll ask about and he didn’t ask about it which made my day. Will definitely return.

I had Giuseppe as my stylist, whom I highly recommend. He took the time to understand my needs and offered helpful suggestions that suited me. I can tell that he really cares about his craft by how meticulous and detail oriented he was when during my haircut. He was very professional, and I highly recommend him and this salon.

I have been going to NYC salons for over 25 years and this is the best salon I have gone to. John is a fabulous stylist and colorist. His team of Sona, Grace, Ella and John are wonderful and provide great client service. And Marina is one of the best manicurists I have ever had. Had a great experience at Balayage me salon. The atmosphere is good and hygienic. The stylist Firuza is good and knows her job very well. I got the hair coloring and haircut and overall am happy and satisfied.

I was a first time walk-in, and everyone was super nice and accommodating, especially Abby! It’s also a really nice space. I’m always nervous to try a new salon because not everyone is experienced with 3C hair, and I like to wear it straight and curly (I had a cut and blow out). I was super impressed with Ena and trusted her recommendations. I’m really happy with my cut and will definitely make this my regular salon.
