During cupping therapy, a practitioner will place special cups onto your skin to create suction; this pulls the tissue beneath the cups upwards and increases the flow of blood to the area. It depends on your goal and the condition you want to treat. You may initially be advised to have an appointment every 1-2 weeks, but ask your practitioner – they’re best placed to advise you on the session frequency based upon your body and its needs. For general wellness, you can have cupping therapy once a month. You should leave at least a week between appointments.
