My 15 year old son is always really pleased with Monix’s cut and styling of his hair. He has longer hair so needs a proper stylist. She is very approachable and friendly to talk through options with. I would definitely recommend her.

So glad I tried this place! I find it difficult to find a salon that doesn't make me feel out-of-place or overwhelmed by noise, lights, people and smells (I'm neurodivergent), but Grays gives a sense of space that feels safe and inclusive. Nikkie has cut and styled my hair twice now, and I've loved it both times. Always great nattering about how ace dogs are, too! I'll definitely be back.

I decided to book a 1-1 styling lesson because I’ve never fully understood how to style my hair properly and worried about damaging it in the process. My lesson with Kaitlyn was super informative and interactive, she demonstrated how to curl my hair on one side then allowed me to repeat the process on myself at the other side. I did struggle at first but Kaitlyn was incredibly patient and concise. She also showed what products and techniques I needed to use to prep and set the hair. Much more valuable than a YouTube tutorial, the lesson was hands on and tailored to my hair length/type. Coul

Had my hair relaxed, and I’m very, very happy! Sam was very gentle with my hair and delivered great results. I was well taken care of from beginning to end. The relaxer used is for sensitive scalps, which I really appreciate. The atmosphere is very warm, safe and friendly ❤️ Definitely my first of many times here! When you finally find the perfect hairdresser and wonder where she’s been all your life. Becky is the loveliest, friendliest person. As well as being bubbly and letting you rant on about anything and everything, she is an expert in her field; understands what you need, what works, what suits, all resulting in transforming hair that was old, tired and dull into a soft, style full of dimension and depth. I’ve been going to Smitin for 14 years now, and I can honestly say that Johan and the team are great. Johan always takes time to consider your needs and requirements and delivers a superb result in his hair styling. I’ve always felt relaxed and confident that I’m going to walk out of his salon looking sharper than a box of knives. Can’t recommend this salon highly enough. Keep up the great work Smitin crew 😁

The staff are so polite and friendly they made me feel very comfortable. I had my 5 year old daughter’s hair cut done for the first time professionally so I was a bit nervous as my daughter tends to be shy. The hair stylist was very gentle with her and did a great job I’m so happy with the service will definitely be coming back for much more!!!

Kitty was amazing! After not having a haircut for almost 18 months and been quite nervous about a big change, she made me feel completely at ease and talked me through everything. She gave me tips on products, styling etc. I felt amazing leaving the salon and booked back in again straight away!

Monix has been my stylist for as long as I can remember and I would find it incredibly hard to ever trust anyone else with my curly hair. Consistently a gorgeous cut by a very knowledgeable curl specialist. I always leave with exactly what cut I ask for and Monix cuts any face framing I have in a really detailed way to help woth styling. Monixs’ advice about the type of cut I need is always spot on. Hair always leaves looking and feeling far healthier!
