Indian head massage stimulates the nerves from the head area. This helps you to relax which, in turn, improves mental and physical health. It also increases circulation, exfoliates the scalp and nourishes the hair.

Have you gone past your due date and are patiently awaiting the onset of labour? Or are you booked for an Induction of Labour and are keen to try and encourage labour naturally? Then this is the perfect treatment!

*Please note if acupuncture is used during this treatment, there will be no massage. However, you will still be provided with a blend of essentials oils for home use.

Massage

This is suitable for women who are 35 weeks pregnant with a baby in the breech presentation (head up instead of head down). This can be used instead of an ECV (external cephalic version) or alongside. 
-        This is a treatment that will be carried out in your own home with your birth partner or another adult, you will be taught how to use a smokeless moxa-stick and provided with all of the information needed. 
 
Following teaching, a relaxing massage will take place. 

Choose from either foot and leg, arm and hand or shoulder and head. 

*Moxibustion is not suitable for women who have had a previous caesarean section, increased fluid around their baby, low lying placenta, high blood pressure, diabetes requiring medication or booked to have an elective caesarean section.

One month of acupuncture to support preconception, 4 treatments 

Preconception monthly package 

For women who experience a regular menstrual cycle (unfortunately, this does not include those with a diagnosis of PCOS, infertility and undergoing IVF treatment)

Needles will be in for between 20 and 40 minutes

Pre-conception acupuncture 

Nausea and vomiting, heartburn and indigestion, constipation and haemorrhoids, anxiety and stress, insomnia, pelvic girdle pain, backache and sciatica, birth preparation, post-dates pregnancy and support the natural onset of labour. 

Pregnancy acupuncture is suitable for women who are “low risk”, a pre-treatment consultation will take place to ensure that you are booked in for an appropriate and safe treatment

Needles will be in for between 20 and 40 minutes

up to 12 weeks postnatal, supporting recovery following birth, encouraging lactation, mastitis, wound recovery and general relaxation.

-        Through manipulation of the feet, RZT can help with treating specific conditions in pregnancy and during the postnatal period.
-        RZT can help with anxiety and stress, nausea and vomiting, heartburn and indigestion, constipation and haemorrhoids, carpel tunnel syndrome and labour preparation including post-dates pregnancy. 

Pregnancy reflexology 

RZT is also suitable during the postnatal period. This can be used for general relaxation, post birth recovery, lactation stimulation/support and constipation
