Uro Basti - Heart Treatment

This specialised form of Basti treatment is similar to Katti Basti, except the well of dough is formed over the heart. This beautiful and profound treatment will give you a s’ense of expansion around the heart centre making you breathe deeper and feel more calmed and relaxed.

Uro Basti is incredibly beneficial for relieving nervousness, anxiety, fears and the lingering effects of emotional trauma. This beautiful treatment will rejuvenate the heart, both physically and emotionally, and is an exceptional therapeutic experience recommended for those seeking relief from depression, sadness, anger, or the pain of a "broken heart". 

This therapy is also effective in treating chest congestion and breathing problems. During the treatment Black sesame oil or medicated oil is poured on the left side of the chest into a dam made of besan dough and retained for about 30 minutes.

Katti Basti - Lower Back Treatment

Katti Basti is Ayurveda’s unique treatment for musculoskeletal disorders of the spine and lower back. During the treatment, warm herbal oils are poured into a small dam made of besan flour dough, which is placed on the lower back.

Katti Basti provides relief in conditions such as sciatica, lower back pain, lower spine rigidity, or chronic back pain. It also improves blood and nerve supply to the pelvic organs and the lower limbs.

During the treatment, the Ayurvedic medicated tailams (oils) are held in the dough well and retained for about thirty minutes.

The practitioner will share an Ayurvedic summary and diagnosis with you at the end of the consultation based on your current state of health and natural-born constitution.
