If you have had an invasive facial such as Chemical Peel, Microneedling etc you will need to wait a few weeks for you skin to renew before having a wax to avoid tearing. 

We also advise you check what at home facial products you use. Check if they have any Retinol, AHA, BHA or Glycolic Acid. These thin the skin and will cause tearing, we advise you wait at least 7-10 days for skin to renew before having a brow wax. 

If you use any tanning products on your face do expect to be left with lighter patches after a brow wax and do not apply any tan to the area for 48hrs to allow your follicles to close. Failure to do this can trigger a reaction or even infection. 

Generally we just advise to keep that area clean 48hrs post treatment.

A patch test is when a small amount of product is put on your body. This is so we can identify any allergies before you’re fully exposed to the product. Due to the area tested being so small, if you were to react to the patch test then all you should experience is redness and slight irritation of the skin – this tells us you’re not suitable for the particular treatment tested for.

There’s no guarantee about how your body will react to any product which is why a patch test is so important – our bodies can develop new allergies at any time.
