It’s designed to relieve chronic tension and tightness, particularly in areas such as the neck, back, and shoulders. Using slow, deliberate strokes and firm pressure, the therapist targets muscle knots and adhesions (bands of painful, stiff tissue). This type of massage helps to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation, all while addressing specific areas of discomfort or pain.
