I entirely understand your point about the towels but there is a reason and it's a tricky balance between providing top quality and our environmental impact. Reducing from two to one towel massively reduced the washing and drying and often wasted energy. 

Keeping the towels longer by extending their life also has environmental benefits and we have compromised here as we have customers on both sides of this dilemma -quality v environment.

So we provide one towel initially to day visitors and additional ones as and when they ask for another. 

You may also have noted that we are moving over to different coloured striped towels instead of all white which helps guests identify their towel and hence reduce the number having to be washed because guests can't remember which was theirs.

David, I hope this helps explain our position, next time please don't hesitate to ask for another.


Very nice relaxing atmosphere. Very good massage therapist. Was disappointing to only get one quite thin towel, it’s around two years since I last visited and I recall getting two better quality ones.
