The most popular of my services, this choice usually leaves you feeling both loosened up and relaxed when completed.
Choosing a Blended Massage just indicates that you expect to need roughly equal parts of both the relaxation and orthopedic massage styles, or prefer a relaxation massage but know you have those one or two problem spots that really need to be addressed before your body will even allow you to relax.
A blended massage will typically begin as a relaxation massage but has more of a "search-and-destroy" mindset as we discover or work on known trouble spots throughout the massage. It integrates many of the orthopedic techniques into the relaxation style but may also include some myofascial release, some reflexology, possibly even a little bit of cupping massage along the way. None of the techniques used will step away from the idea of a relaxing massage without your permission.
Ultimately, the results tend to be an increased sense of looseness, flexibility, and serenity.

Blended Massage

If you have any of the following: back pain, back spasms, pain from an acute injury, overuse muscle strain, shoulder pain, pain after surgery, carpal tunnel syndrome, elbow pain, whiplash, knee pain, "shin splints", tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, etc. - then you might greatly benefit from an orthopedic massage.
Orthopedic massage therapy focuses on the soft-tissues and muscles that surround the joints of the body. Goals for an orthopedic massage session are typically injury rehabilitation — which include decreasing pain, increasing mobility, and preparing the body to return to normal daily routines and active hobbies — or injury prevention. It is designed to be pain-free, restore balance to the joints, and focus on alleviating any pain and tension.
It includes before and after range-of-motion testing, fascia manipulation, home care training, and possibly occlusion therapy and more. You will be dressed during the session, males in gym shorts and females in gym shorts and a sports bra.

Orthopedic Massage

A painless, microcurrent point stimulation treatment of scar tissue utilizing DC current — the same as your body produces, rather than the AC current used by TENS units — to reduce and release both visible scars and deeper scar tissue. Please wear clothing that allows simple access to the areas to be addressed. 

Scar Release Therapy

This massage is all about the Ahhh factor. Incorporating primarily Swedish style a.k.a. "classic" massage strokes, relaxation massage uses a firm but gentle, smooth-flowing style that is designed to help you unwind and destress for total requiescence. But it does more than just that; it relieves muscular tension and helps release "knots"; plus it improves your mobility.

Typically 60-90 minutes in duration, this luxurious massage will use various massage techniques including long strokes, gentle kneading, soothing fascia release, a few passive joint movement techniques, and perhaps some rhythmic rocking from side to side. You may even receive some reflexology if time allows. This is a passive treatment; meaning you just lie there, let go, and let me do all the work. This gentle, full-body massage is probably ideal for you if you are new to massage, you have a lot of tension, you are sensitive to touch, or you just need to unplug from your day for awhile.

Relaxation Massage

Sports massage uses a variety of massage techniques designed to help your body feel freer and stronger. Similar to orthopedic massage, the difference is that it focuses on maintenance, injury prevention, and improved performance for those common issues specific to your sport(s). Clients are dressed during the session, males in gym shorts and females in gym shorts and a sports bra.

Sports Massage

For our record-keeping compliance, please be sure to create your profile and appointment in your child's name when booking his or her Minor Massage.

Similar to orthopedic massage, the difference is that it focuses on maintenance, injury prevention, and improved performance for those common issues specific to your child's sport(s). Your child will be dressed during the session, males in gym shorts and females in gym shorts and a sports bra.
A parent or guardian must remain in the room during the session.

Sports Massage for Minors

Not the same as deep pressure, deep tissue massage addresses both muscles and connective tissue below the surface layers. While traditional deep tissue usually involves a lot of heavy elbow work with slow, concentrated pressure, orthopedic deep tissue uses techniques designed to be pain-free and effective at realigning deeper tissues. Elbow work is almost never needed nor is the therapist's full weight drilling into one point of your body. Whether you are a fan of deep tissue massage or are simply curious about trying orthopedic, you can experience the benefits here without feeling like you've been beat-up when it's over.

Massage is beneficial at any age. For minors, as for adults, each session is customized to the client's pressure preference and other needs. Generally, a child's massage will be focused on some short specific goals such as calming or pain relief (particularly for those active in sports).
Massage lengths are usually shorter than adult sessions to prevent restlessness during the treatment. Recommended age ranges are given, but are not absolute. 
A parent or guardian must stay in the room or the building during the session, depending on the child's age.

Massage for Minor

The vagus nerve counters the fight-or-flight stress reaction caused by the sympathetic system. It is in charge of our immune response to inflammation, our pulmonary (breathing) functioning, and the vast majority of our bodies' rest-repair-heal cycle. This non-invasive service stimulates the entire vagal nerve track to aid in countering sympathetic stress in the body and in strengthening immunity.
You will be dressed for the treatment allowing brief access to your lower abdomen for a pad applied just below the naval. A small clip will also be attached to your lower left ear lobe, connecting both ends of the nerve. The treatment takes 15 minutes while you sit or lie comfortably.
RESTRICTIONS: Cannot be used on clients who: Have an active implanted electronic medical device; Have a metallic device implanted at or near the neck; Are pregnant; Have an open wound, rash, infection, swelling, cut, sore, drug patch, or surgical scars on their neck or near their ear. 

Vagus Nerve Stimulation

First of three services using microcurrent point stimulation to treat old and new concussions. Treatment includes auricular battlefield points (located on ear), cranial joints (a.k.a. sutures - not referring to stitches), and points on the hand and foot to reset the autonomic nervous system and treat for trauma and circulation,

MPS Concussion Therapy First Session

Final treatment in protocol  Includes treatment of auricular battlefield points, cranial joints, release of lateral neck tension, and points to balance the Sphenoid bone (which provides support for the brain, nerves, blood vessels, etc.).
