The Hyaluronic Acid only reaches the dermis (upper layer of skin) making this a safe treatment with no risk of blockage to blood vessels since the pen doesn't have a sharp tip to puncture them. The Hyaluronic Acid used is not permanent although it is a buildable procedure that enables you to achieve your desired look. As the procedure is non invasive, the risk of bruising and swelling is also extremely low unlike fillers using needles. 
Last up to 12 months. You will be numb the entire procedure with Lidocaine cream!
