Hard reset a card terminal
Fix persistent issues and restore your card terminal's performance. Learn how to perform a hard reset on a V400m or S1 Fresha terminal.
Getting started
If your card terminal isn't working after a reboot, try a hard reset. This temporarily deactivates the terminal, but all your details remain on the device after restarting. To perform a card terminal hard reset:
- Make sure you have the charger and a power source.
Resetting a card terminal
Resetting a Fresha S1 card terminal
To reset a Fresha S1 terminal:
- Remove the power cable from the terminal.
- Push down on the battery lid and slide off to remove.
- From the left-hand side of the terminal, unclip the battery to remove it.
- Leave the battery to rest for 5 minutes.
- Reinsert and clip the battery back into the terminal.
- Put the battery lid back onto the terminal.
- Press and hold the power button until the display turns ON.
- Leave the terminal to restart (this may take up to 5 minutes).
Resetting a V400m card terminal
To reset a V400m terminal:
- Remove the power cable from the terminal.
- Unlock and remove the battery lid.
- Remove the battery from the terminal.
- Leave the battery to rest for 5 minutes.
- Reinsert the battery back into the terminal.
- Put the battery lid back onto the terminal and apply the safety lock.
- Plug the power cable back in.
- Leave the terminal to restart (this may take up to 5 minutes).
