Securely process one-off payments without needing the client's physical card present. Learn how to charge clients who provide their card details over the phone, email, or other less secure channels, ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process.

Ensure seamless transactions by collecting payments using manual card entry. With manual card entry, you can handle payments efficiently and offer greater flexibility to your clients.
Before you can collect payments using manual card entry, you’ll need to:
- Enable payment processing for your workspace.
Entering customer card details
To manually enter the client card details:
- Open Sales.
- Click Add.
- Select the client’s profile.
- Build a cart by selecting Products, Services, Memberships and Gift cards.
- Click Continue to payment.
- Choose a tip if applicable and click Continue to payment again.
- Select Manual card entry and add the client’s card details.
- Click Pay now to complete the sale.
The value you can charge through manually added card details is limited to 250 in your local currency.
Manually entering card details increases fraud risk and processing costs. For better security, use Fresha's in-person card terminals, self-checkout, QR codes, or upfront deposits.
FAQs
Any chargeback received in connection with a manual card transaction will be passed onto you. Fresha pays a dispute fee for every chargeback raised against your account, but this dispute fee will not be passed onto you.
While Fresha prioritizes security, manually entering card details is less secure and more susceptible to fraud. We recommend using Fresha’s in-person payment methods for better security.
Yes, if the customer has a valid email on file, they will automatically receive a receipt once the payment is completed.
